One advantage of living in Devon is the proximity of the coast. We're in South Devon, and to be fair, North Devon has a more dramatic coastline, but when you catch Teignmouth at the right time, it's a lovely place for a stroll along the sand.
It was a warm summer evening, and we piled into the car in a last-minute attempt to have fish and chips by the sea. We made it with just minutes to spare, and I have to say that although the staff in the chip shop looked hot and a bit frazzled, they cheerfully served up our much-needed dinners and we wolfed down our fish suppers immediately with lots of salt and vinegar.
Lottie, our Labrador, was not impressed that we were sitting down to eat when there was a beach at hand, but it wasn't long before we were down on the sand, kicking a ball for her to chase, and she had a splendid time.
There's no photo of the fish and chips, I'm afraid, we were too hungry to be messing about with cameras, but I hope you enjoy the rest of the photos. I'm trying a different gallery this time – tap or click on a photo to open an image viewer, then when you're done, click the cross on the top-right.
I often post photos on my instagram account.
I also have a shared album on google photos where you can see larger versions of most off the images that I share on the blog.
