I've been listening to:

Where This Service Will…

A series of five radio plays following the romantic entanglements of two strangers on a train. Good rom-com stuff, and for me, it was a good way to take my mind off the migraine that refused to shift.

Here's a link to the series on the BBC website: Listen Here

I've been watching:

Life on the BBC. This is a drama, not to be confused with the wildlife series of the same name. I've only seen the first episode, but I enjoyed the interlinked stories of disparate characters who live in neighbouring flats. The cast was great, and it made for an entertaining piece of drama.

It's on the BBC iPlayer

On film, I got a kick out of Rebel in the Rye – a drama based on the life of JD Salinger.

I'll always watch stories based on writers, but even though I'm biased, I thought this was well done.

I've been reading:

A Better Class of Person: An Autobiography 1929-1956

by John Osborne.

Not for everyone, but an evocative book from a powerful writer. I don't read many biographies, but I found this in a second-hand book store and grabbed it.
