Just a short note to say that if you haven't discovered this book about self-publishing, you may want to remove that large rock from the top of your head.
Write. Publish. Repeat. is written by the guys from the Self-Publishing Podcast (SPP). Now, the SPP isn't to everyone's taste – the language can be a bit too Anglo-Saxon for delicate ears, and you may prefer something a little more – shall we say, ‘structured'?
Yes we shall.
Personally, I watch SPP live most weeks and my comments are often read out during the show, so I guess that makes me into something resembling a fan. As a Yorkshireman, I'm exempt from most forms of enthusiasm, and I remain committed to my belief that almost everyone is spouting utter nonsense whenever they open their mouths. So, I'm not an unthinking follower of anyone or anything.

Anyway, this post isn't about SPP, it's about this book. Write. Publish. Repeat. is similar in tone to the podcast, so if you've led a sheltered life and been raised by an order of silent nuns, you may want to steer clear. Otherwise, it's a wealth of information and inspiration. It's a book to dip in and out of, and I skipped some sections. But other chapters had me going back for another look, just to embed the ideas in my head. Like all good learners, I don't treat a text as sacrosanct – I read with the intention of forming my own ideas.
Take from this book what you will, but I'll bet you'll find at least a couple of things that will change the way you approach your writing.
